A commission of 30% will be taken from the sale price of any sold artworks (after deducting any applicable transaction fees or Australian taxes). The remaining amount will be paid to the artist.

Charity Donations

Artists are encouraged to voluntarily choose for their artworks to be sold with proceeds being donated to a selected charity.

Authorisation for Use of Artwork in Promotional Materials

  1. Grant of Rights: By participating in the exhibition, each artist grants the organisers of the International Watercolor Society (IWS) Australian Women’s Art a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and display their submitted artwork for the purposes of promoting the exhibition. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of the artwork in promotional materials such as flyers, posters, social media posts, and press releases.

  2. Artist Catalogue: The artist further authorises the organisers to include images of their artwork in an artist catalogue related to the exhibition. This catalogue may be distributed in both digital and print formats and may be made available to the public and used in marketing efforts to promote the exhibition and the participating artists.

  3. Attribution: Wherever the artwork is used, the organisers will ensure that the artist is credited appropriately. The artist’s name will accompany any reproduction of their artwork used in promotional materials and the artist catalogue.

  4. Duration of Use: The licence granted herein shall commence upon the mutual agreement that the artist’s work will be part of the exhibition and shall continue for as long as the promotional materials and artist catalogue are in use, including any future use for archival purposes or for promoting similar events organised by IWS.

  5. Withdrawal of Consent: Artists may withdraw their consent for the use of their artwork in future promotional materials by providing written notice to the organisers. Such withdrawal will not affect any materials already produced or distributed.

  6. Indemnification: The artist agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the organisers from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from the use of the artwork in accordance with the terms of this authorisation.
